Saweeeeet way to start the day! After the obvious hour of Jeremy Kyle (I'm still unemployed), I hopped, skipped and jumped to the post box to find an awesome little present all the way from Hong Kong! Covered in hearts and just my size, I couldn't be more chuffed! I then settle down, accompanied by a warming cup of green tea with a hint of ginseng only to open the virtual envelopes that are my e-mails and receive yet more good news, this time from New York! The boys at Muffinmilk are sending me over some stickers to get things rolling so keep your eyes open! More on that later....

Yesterday myself and my sister spent the morning hunting out pants and socks in various discount stores, for a care parcel that we are sending over to an anonymous marine over in Afghanistan. Having watched a programme on a group of lads currently fighting on the front line, a group of lovely looking lads as it goes, we both felt we needed to show them a drop of support from someone other than their families, just to let them know that we are all thinking about them.

We enter into the depths of Poundland. After a short wrestling match between myself and an old woman with more saliva than I care to mention, I grabbed 4 packs of dried chicken noodles, a bumper bag of lollipops and about a thousand biros, followed by a swift drop and roll to the tills where we pay for our purchases, make like a tree and get the fuck out of there. The boys in Afghanistan think they've got it tough, Poundland is veritable battle field, as men and women viciously fight over of what looks to be already worn pants and gigantic packs of mini eggs.

No but seriously, if any of you get the chance check out the latest channel 5 documentary on our boys in Afghanistan, and if you get the time, put together a little care package of your own. In no way do I support the war out there, but those guys are doing a job and they are doing it for good ol'blighty.
