I’m currently on the job hunt and it is NOT going well! I set up this blog to try and get a bit of hustle going on about my writing, and as much as I’m enjoying it isn’t quite filling up the endless hours in my day. This morning, for example, I rolled out of bed after a late night watching crappy films at my brothers flat and set off on a bike ride (must get fitter this year!) The cycle can only be described as an uphill struggle, literally. With a sense of achievement in the air I returned from my two wheeled escapade, got myself a jug of granola and juice and settled down for an hour of Jeremy Kyle. Whilst watching toothless, inbred, Neanderthals arguing over who smashed their Mums' china shire horses, I was feeling a lot more positive about my life. It’s a good way to start a day, I might be unemployed but so far I’ve still got all my teeth and I’ve never slept with my cousin.

It gets to lunch time and so far I’ve perfected my Australian accent, painted and re-painted my nails four hundred times and made a batch of oatmeal cookies that would have saved Jesus a whole lot of time and fed the five thousand in an instant.

So that just about sums it up. The day in the life of an unemployed 21 year old, straight out of uni with a decent degree in advertising....maybe I should just take one for the team, knock my teeth out, chuck on some dungarees and head on over to the ITV studios, if Jezza can’t help me out no-one can!
